Final Report Available: "Development of Health Criteria for Schools Site Risk Assessment Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 901(g): Child-Specific Benchmark Change in Blood Lead Concentration for School Site Risk Assessment"
[04/17/07]
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) of the California Environmental Protection Agency is making available the final Report "Development of Health Criteria for Schools Site Risk Assessment Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 901(g): Child-Specific Benchmark Change in Blood Lead Concentration for School Site Risk Assessment".
Health and Safety Code Section 901(g) requires OEHHA to evaluate and publish, as appropriate, numerical health guidance values for those chemicals that could be encountered at school sites and may adversely impact the health of school children. Following the requirements set forth in Health and Safety Code Section 57003 for receiving public input, OEHHA has reviewed public comments and comments from an external peer review panel assembled by the Office of the President, University of California, and other interested parties in developing the final document. A public workshop was held in the Cal/EPA headquarters Building on April 12, 2006. The final report is available on the OEHHA web site below. If you have questions regarding this announcement, please contact our office at (916) 324-2829 or the address below. Written requests should be addressed to:
